Dis-Pro 3 HP Model E1 MARINE ENGINE
GRACE & SPEED - MUSKOKA BOAT & HERITAGE CENTRE
At Muskoka Wharf - adjacent to Segwun & Wenonah Cruise Ship Docks
GRAVENHURST, Ontario Canada

Opened in August 2006, this Boat-building Heritage Museum

called "GRACE and SPEED" is a must see if you are in the area.

The above photographs show part of the marine engine heritage

that powered the many commercial and pleasure crafts of that bygone era.

Please visit their website for more information -     www.mbhc.ca
This engine powered a 16-18 foot wood (cedar strip) boat. The most noticeable fact is that the motor rotates a drive shaft that protrudes downward at the rear of the boat and it is retractable allowing the boat to come ashore in very little depth of water.
This engine in this view is enclosed by acrylic plastic plexiglass and appears in factory-fresh condition.
This building also displays fully restored antique power craft that rest in the water, on loan from owners who still
operate them in the area waters.
